crunchy! or: the perils of film festivals

at first i didn't think anything of the fact that i was the only person in the full audience who had popcorn.

i was absolutely stoked to go see appleseed last night. i'd bought the tickets on a whim based on no idea what the movie was going to be about, so when i looked it up and saw the trailer i was like, yey!

yeah right

turns out i'd come in, and brought a friend who thought she was going to see an entertaining anime flick, on the wrong day and the movie we were watching was actually, well, about eating fetuses. like, for fun and profit.

Ah, the old bait-and-switch. Too bad, but you have to take the good with the bad, sometimes. As an avid film festival goer, I've had my share of such troubles, but I'm ofen grateful for the experience.

Eating fetuses? That's childsplay!

Try this: Workhorse Zoo (http://emutagen.com/whzoogl.html) Go for the recipes link, top-right. Wait patiently or scroll down to, say, xenopus chowtime (that's a frog) or mouse-fry... MMMM!
